Our quality assurance is measured and maintained using ISO / IEC 17025:2005 and the 6 Sigma methodology.
We participate in performance testing (PT) in both the Canadian Association for Environmental Analytical Laboratories Inc. (CAEAL) and the American Industrial Hygene Association (AIHA). CAEAL is a non-profit organization with the mission to help laboratories achieve and demonstrate the highest levels of scientific and management excellence through the combined principles of Competence, Consistency, Credibility and Communication. AIHA is one of the largest international associations serving the needs of occupational and environmental health professionals practicing industrial hygiene in industry, government, labor, academic institutions, and independent organizations.
In conjunction CAEAL and AIHA PT testing, we also have adopted the use of 6 Sigma within our organization to measure, monitor and manage our those services that are critical to our customer. Sigma is a Greek letter used to describe the amount of variation in a process or procedure. A higher sigma value indicates less variation or fewer defects. While many companies operate at a level of Three or Four Sigma, the quest behind this initiative is to reach a level of 6 Sigma where there are as few as 3.4 defects per million - which is virtually defect free.
