It is with great pleasure to announce that Jocelyn Deras has successfully completed her 3 months in-house training with Benchmark Labs and has accepted her position as Chemical Technician with Benchmark Laboratories "Calgary" Ltd.

Jocelyn graduated from SAIT Polytechnic with a diploma in Chemical Technology in 2008. During her studies she did a year internship at Shawpipe Protection.   Prior to joining Benchmark Labs, Jocelyn gained valuable experience working in the lab at Alberta Distillers Ltd. where she was given a high level of responsibility.

According to her manager, Rob Bitcon, "Jocelyn makes a fine addition to our Calgary team.  Despite being one of the few Calgarian's that were both born and raised in Calgary, Jocelyn takes pride in undertanding what analysis that she is conducting and to get to know her clients requirements.  This gives her a unique perspective in communicating her results to her clients.  She also has the rare gift of reviewing a process with the aim of making it better."

In addition to her full time duries at Benchmark labs, Jocelyn is also a professional Lifeguard. Her interests outside of Benchmark Labs include swimming, singing, watching movies and kickboxing.
